Hi all, have myself a 2014 M8000 that I have been riding for a few days and noticed a few things. First, the gas gauge is awful and I am afraid to find out how far I can go. Anyone have any input on how many miles for a full tank this machine gets? Did 90 today and was afraid to go much more before getting gas. Second, overheats a lot riding around town in Montana and I know it has the ice scratchers but am nervous of breaking them off. I am here on vacation and renting this sled. Are the ice scratchers on these sleds durable and not cheap so they will work for a while? Any help would be awesome! Thanks.

I have a 2013 XF800 HC. Put the 12 gal tank on it. Riding fairly hard I get 12 miles/gal. Last weekend I put 125 miles on the odometer before adding fuel. I figure that's my limit. The pickups will not run the tank dry.

I never really paid attention to my distance this fill up. But I know I only typically get about 70 miles before I am at my last bar on the fuel gauge. I hit that point this morning and thought I would run it out of fuel and see how many miles I can get. I put on 30 miles past that point and never ran out of fuel before I had to pick up my son from school. Also I ride pretty hard, lots of full throttle riding. I know its not really an answer but im guessing 120 miles. Best way to find out is to run it out.
