2016 HDX 700 won't shut off

So, the other day when I parked my hdx and turned the key to off, rather than shutting off the starter kept trying to turn the engine over. If I turned the key back to on, it would run normally.

I had to disconnect the battery to get it to shut down. The ignition switch seems to be okay, so I'm thinking it's the starter solenoid.

I called the dealer where I bought the vehicle new at the end of June, but they won't honor the warranty since they apparently are no longer an Arctic Cat dealer.

So, I've ordered the replacement solenoid and am planning on doing the repair myself.

I'm a little disappointed that I'm already having problems at a mere 233 miles.

Anyway, if anyone has any ideas of potential other causes for the problem or tips on the repair, let me know.

Thanks

Really no reason for solenoid to cause this (power to activate solenoid in off position), sounds like defective ign switch crossing circuitry within (which Cat has had some issues with it seems)

They just tend to keep things like this as a "low key" (non common, off the radar, so to speak) issue and refuse to acknowledge such faults.
