2016 zr 8000s my wife and I both have the same noise when coming to a stop. Almost like a grinding noise. I believe it is coming from the secondary. I'm not talking about the primary chatter this is different. Still seems to work fine but drives me f ing nuts.

Called the dealer today, and just so happens he had one in the shop making the same noise. I told them my theory and sure as **** that sled had rubbing marks on brake shield. He called me this afternoon after a test ride and the noise was gone. Gotta keep those belts in spec.

make sure the secondary bolt is tight........seriously because there was a run of cat's where the secondary bolt would actually become loose then back it's self out.

Had a guy on a trip with us who had a 16 and he had a noise similar to what you are describing, low and behold the secondary bolt had actually come loose and backed out.

We replaced it on the trail with a much nicer/harder bolt from a local automotive store, and 6,000 miles later, that bolt from the auto store is still nice and snug.

Happy to hear you got it handled. My '15 squealed when coming to a stop from the brake pads. I used CRC brake Quiet and it worked like a charm, I even did the wifes '16 LXR and no noise either ..
